The ultra-fast deployment is made possible by the integrated solid rubber ramps – simply place on the ground, fold out the ramps and the event is protected. The modules can optionally be connected to extend the protective effect and increase stability. The extended ramps also offer improved drive-over capability, so that even lower-lying vehicles and trailers can drive over the barrier without any issue.
On impact with a vehicle, the energy of the vehicle is transferred from the vertical to the horizontal. This HVM barrier achieved a peak value of 8.3 metres penetration depth. This allows the barrier to be placed close to the event site. This is particularly important when space is limited.
A single 1845mm ARMIS ONE HVM unit is certified to protect against a 7,200kg vehicle at 48kph with a penetration depth of only 8.3 metres. It is the only system that can offer this level of HVM performance in a single unit.
