Crowdgate FAQs
Where can I install Crowdgate?
Crowdgate can be installed in diverse settings including stadia, sports grounds, exhibition centres, conference suites, outdoor marketplaces, fairgrounds, racecourses, public gardens, private estates and more.
How long does Crowdgate take to install?
Our surface-mounted cabins require no preparatory works, so there’s no need for costly adaptations to your site. Installation is quick, and our in-house fleet handle the heavy lifting, ensuring your site is ready to receive visitors in approximately 30 minutes per unit.
How long can Crowdgate be hired for?
Our units can be installed for any required length of time – whether your event lasts a single evening or several months.
How many people can use Crowdgate?
Multiple units can be used at once for higher flow-through rates at large events. We have partnered with Crowd Dynamics for accurate visitor insights, and to offer bespoke dynamic assessment of crowd movements at your event, helping you to navigate the “new normal” of events. Crowdgate allows 15 people through a lane per minute so, as each unit has 2 lanes, the flow rate per unit is 30 people per minute.
How will Crowdgate add to the visitor’s event experience?
The containerised units welcome guests and reflect the event’s branding and chosen colour palette. Crowdgate’s streamlined check-in experience, featuring QR code mobile phone integration, makes entry a straightforward, easy-to-follow process. This sets the tone for the event to come and builds confidence amongst visitors and staff alike that their health and safety are being looked after, and that the event management team has taken appropriate care to mitigate the risks inherent to large-scale gatherings in the COVID era.
Is Crowdgate cost-effective?
Yes, as Crowdgate negates the need for as many stewards to undertake manual checks, it offers a cost-effective solution. Additionally, Crowdgate allows stewards to look after guests with specific needs on a case-by-case basis, as others smoothly gain entrance to the venue. As a result, fewer on-site personnel are needed to carry out screening and checks, reducing staffing and training costs.
Will Crowdgate make my event safe?
Our company was established in response to the growing need for protection against vehicle-borne attacks on pedestrians in the UK and around Europe. Our award-winning Surface Guard Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) equipment – a crash-tested IWA14 pedestrian permeable barrier which was named Physical Security Product of the Year at the Counter Terror Awards 2019 – can be used together with Crowdgate. This offers peace of mind to the event attendee and organiser that most known, significant risks for crowded spaces have been mitigated, including the use of a vehicle as a weapon of attack, delivery of vehicle-borne IED and, in the COVID era, the threat of spreading infection. Thus, event management teams can ensure appropriate duty of care from the moment attendees arrive.
