Passionate about enabling venue operators, event organisers and public authorities to improve resilience and manage security threats, Herb has extensive experience in guiding organisations through their risk factors and aiding them to prepare for emergencies, such as terror attacks.
Board Certified in Security Management (CPP) and Physical Security (PSP), he is a SAFETY Act DHS Assessor in BPATS (Best Practices for Anti-Terrorism Security) and an OSHA general industry and construction trainer. Working closely with James A. DeMeo and our UK teams, Herb is responsible for delivering our best practice approach to threat, vulnerability and risk assessment (TVRA) service in the US, and advising our UK customers on the most appropriate solutions for their requirements, as well as maintaining our high service standards, quality protocols and rapid response.

James A. DeMeo brings a wealth of security industry experience to the Crowdguard team in the USA, with expertise across risk management, crisis management and enterprise security risk management. Author of the best-selling book, ‘What’s Your Plan? A Step-By-Step Guide to Keep Your Family Safe During Emergency Situations’, James holds professional memberships with both ASIS International and the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security-NCS4. He is also a remote Learning Adjunct Instructor teaching sport event security, facilities and risk assessment for both graduate and undergraduate students in the higher education vertical.
His role at Crowdguard US is working with venues, event organisers and those responsible for the public realm to help them plan and implement effective safety and security strategies. He also works closely with our UK team to ensure consistently high standards of consultancy and deployment of our industry-leading systems in line with our UK best practice quality assurance processes.
