“Providing appropriate HVM for events in a dynamic city centre environment is often challenging. We value our association with Crowdguard, a professional and supportive partner who work with us to design and deliver temporary HVM solutions protecting our residents and visitors at a wide range of events in Birmingham.”
“It has been a pleasure working with Crowdguard during Godiva Festival 2022, which requires the audience of 70000 over three days to access and egress the event safely. Crowdguard provided a high quality service with a detailed series of checks and controls to ensure a complex installation is designed and deployed according to the brief, with an eye on the aesthetics of the product appearance, and extra care was taken when working in the sensitive environment of a public park.”
“Crowdguard was able to advise us on which HVM system to deploy where, accommodate our requirements to customise the installation with festive messaging, and, essentially, meet the need for prompt installation and de-rigging, concurrently in multiple locations. The whole thing ran very smoothly, visitors were reassured that their safety was being taken seriously, and we were able to extend a warm Edinburgh welcome to all!”
“We choose to work with Crowdguard as they provide the full turnkey solution in providing advice and solutions that take into account the assessed risk and the operational requirements to meet our needs.“
“We work with Crowdguard as they provide a turnkey holistic solution of certified products and install with engineering capabilities to support our requirements.”
“It has been a pleasure to work with Crowdguard who have provided vehicle dynamic assessment and mitigation to a proportionate manner for our King’s Coronation party.”
“Keeping people safe while they enjoy all the city has to offer over the Christmas period is important to Worcester City Council. Crowdguard looks after the hostile vehicle mitigation for our Victorian Christmas Fayre each year, providing ATG Surface Guard and the Rapid Defender vehicle security barrier to 11 locations around the city, which means we have more than 200 metres of HVM equipment protecting people and businesses in Worcester during this busy period. They have also worked with us to benefit local businesses, customising the ATG Surface Guard outside a high street jeweller with advertising.”
“My conversations with Deborah have always suggested to me that Crowdguard understand this important part of the sports safety industry and are working hard to supply the key pieces of equipment within budget. At the end of the day, we must ask ourselves precisely what the budget limit is in terms of saving lives and preventing terrorism. Those of you who attended the March Conference & Exhibition saw and heard Miriam Stone from the AO Arena in Manchester. It did happen here. You saw and heard Claire Worley from West Midlands CTU. It is being planned under our noses and our CTU operations everywhere are preventing hundreds of potential activities. As we prepare our stadia and our Zone-Exs, Deborah and her team might just be able to provide your Club with what it needs to make terrorists look in another direction.”
Based on a survey we carried out, this whitepaper considers the advantages of increasing the level of pedestrianisation in cities and urban areas, including enhanced footfall to drive economic recovery and reduced traffic to help reduce emissions.
Entitled: ‘Protecting people in public spaces – tackling fear & safety’, it also considers the risks, such as vehicle as a weapon (VAW) attacks and highlights how these risk factors need to be considered in the context of a return to social gatherings and events too.
The full whitepaper is available to download here and provides useful food for thought for local authorities, event organisers and safety professionals.
