The Event
On 29th July 2025, tens of thousands of fans lined The Mall in central London to celebrate the England women’s national football team after their dramatic Euro 2025 win.
The Lionesses arrived by open-top bus for a celebration outside Buckingham Palace, creating a moment of national pride and an unforgettable day for supporters.
The parade was only confirmed after the final result, which meant all logistics, including security and road closures had to be turned around very quickly.
What Crowdguard Delivered
Working closely with Heart Productions and local authorities, Crowdguard was on standby ahead of the final. Once England’s win was confirmed, we mobilised quickly to secure key points along the parade route with one of our many rapid response HVM solutions – Husson H Stop vehicle barriers.
The equipment was selected because it could be installed quickly without damaging the road surface, and because it allows for crowds to move freely while still protecting against hostile vehicle threats.
The Outcome
Despite the tight timeline, all units were delivered and installed on time with no disruption to the event schedule or the crowd experience. Our work helped create a secure space for fans to enjoy the occasion without distraction or concern, and without causing any unnecessary damage to this central location.
Reflections
Events like this involve a lot of moving parts and a high level of pressure, but they are also the reason we do what we do. By working closely with experienced teams, we were proud to help ensure the Lionesses’ homecoming celebrations could be enjoyed by all in attendance.
